the.GingHair is a bespoke wig atelier with a loyal community, mainly in the US. The previous presence ran through Etsy: reliable, but limited. No own branding, no control over the customer journey, no way to truly express the personality of the brand. The goal was clear: move off Etsy and onto an own website.

What we built

We chose Contao CMS as the foundation: flexible enough for the requirements, yet manageable without developer knowledge. The website reflects the brand's aesthetic, minimalist, high-end, with a strong visual identity.

The centerpiece is the Wig Creator: an interactive configuration tool where clients can design their dream wig. Style, color, length, hairpieces and embellishments are all selectable, with an image upload for sketches and references. The collected preferences serve as the basis for a personal consultation and a custom quote.

The site also features a references gallery showcasing completed work from theatre productions to art projects, alongside a clear pricing page covering all services and shipping options.
